In this role, you are expected to arrive on site punctually, check in before 8am, and be ready to tackle a variety of assembly projects. The work schedule can vary, with possible start times as early as 6am and finish times as late as 7pm, Monday through Friday, depending on client needs. This flexibility allows you to adapt to different client requirements and maximize your earning potential through a performance-based compensation structure. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for managing your own tools and ensuring that you have everything required to complete each task to the highest standards.
To succeed as an Assembly Technician, you must demonstrate reliability, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic. The job requires the ability to lift at least 25 pounds, as well as the physical stamina to work on your feet throughout the day. In addition, you must have your own set of bicycle assembly tools, including various wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, a bike stand, an air compressor, a floor pump, and a tire pressure gauge, or equivalent tools. You will also need a smartphone with a working camera for invoicing and documentation purposes, as well as reliable transportation to and from client locations. A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are essential, and you must be able to pass both a background check and a motor vehicle record (MVR) check before starting work.
As an Assembly Technician, your compensation is based on a flat commission rate of 51% per item assembled, providing you with the opportunity to directly influence your income through your performance. After six months of employment, you may become eligible for company health benefits, and after four months, you may qualify for paid time off (PTO) if you average at least 30 hours per week. This compensation structure rewards your efficiency and dedication, while also offering stability and benefits for long-term team members. The Assembly Technician position is structured as a W2 employment role, ensuring compliance with all employment regulations and providing you with the security of employee status.
