Assembly Technician - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble large-item merchandise such as grills, outdoor equipment, furniture sets, bikes, storage sheds, and similar products inside retail stores.
- Ensure all products are built accurately, efficiently, and safely according to manufacturer specifications.
- Transport personal tools and equipment to job sites and maintain them in good working condition.
- Capture and upload photos, scan products, and process invoicing using a smartphone app.
- Check in on time at each job site and communicate effectively with store staff as needed.
- Demonstrate reliability by consistently showing up for scheduled shifts and completing assignments as required.
- Maintain a high standard of quality workmanship and attention to detail on every assembly project.
- Adapt to daily variety as each assignment may involve different products and store locations.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive piece-rate compensation structure: average earnings of $20/hr, with top performers reaching $60/hr equivalent.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and handle large-item assembly tasks.
- Personal, reliable transportation to travel to various retail locations.
- Smartphone with a working camera for job documentation and communication.
- Ownership of required tools, including (but not limited to): 18V cordless impact driver or drill (strongly preferred), deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, box cutter/utility knife, and a rubber mallet.
