Assembly Technician - Summary
- Assemble a variety of large retail items—including grills, lawn equipment, patio furniture, outdoor storage products, bikes, and more—inside major retail locations.
- Maintain a high standard of efficiency, accuracy, and punctuality in all assembly tasks.
- Represent M&C Assemblies with professionalism and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow detailed instructions to assemble products safely and accurately on-site at retail stores.
- Utilize a personal set of required tools (including a cordless drill/driver, deep sockets, Allen/hex bit set, pliers, screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, box cutter, utility knife, and rubber mallet).
- Check in and out at job sites using a smartphone app for time tracking, invoicing, and photo documentation.
- Lift and maneuver items weighing 50 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Adapt quickly to new assembly instructions and a diverse range of products.
- Demonstrate punctuality by arriving on time at each assignment to maximize commission rates and job opportunities.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and follow all safety protocols.
- Provide quality workmanship on every item to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize returns or rework.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physically able to lift and move 50 pounds or more consistently.
- Dependable personal transportation required for travel between job sites.
- Smartphone with a working camera for documentation and app use.
- Ownership of essential assembly tools (see Duties & Responsibilities for full list).
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and reliability; no-shows are not tolerated.
- No formal assembly experience required, but mechanical aptitude is a must.
