The role of Assembly Technician offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to join a dynamic team responsible for assembling a variety of high-demand retail products. As an Assembly Technician, you will work directly within major retail environments, building items such as grills, lawn mowers, patio furniture, wheelbarrows, outdoor storage sheds, bicycles, and other large-item merchandise. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have a knack for putting things together, and are looking for a role that rewards performance and reliability.

As an Assembly Technician, you will be a key contributor to the in-store experience, ensuring that customers have access to fully assembled and ready-to-use products. Your ability to efficiently and accurately assemble merchandise will not only enhance the shopping experience but also directly impact your earning potential. The compensation structure is piece-rate based, meaning the more you assemble efficiently and correctly, the more you can earn. Top performers have the potential to achieve significantly higher income by consistently delivering high-quality work on time.

This position offers the flexibility of self-scheduling, allowing you to systematically block your own availability and have true control over your workdays and hours. Automated performance-based pay increases are in place to reward punctuality, reliability, and productivity. Technicians who consistently check in on time, complete a high number of units, and maintain high-quality standards benefit from higher commission rates and priority access to jobs in higher-volume stores.

To excel as an Assembly Technician, you must be physically capable of handling large items and be comfortable with repetitive lifting of 50 pounds or more. Reliable personal transportation is essential, as is the ability to use a smartphone for submitting photos, scanning, and invoicing through a specialized app. You must also supply your own set of tools, which should include an 18V cordless impact driver or drill, deep metric sockets, Allen/hex bit set, cutting pliers, multiple screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, box cutter/utility knife, and a rubber mallet.

This opportunity is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old and are ready to demonstrate their mechanical aptitude in a fast-paced environment. No formal assembly experience is required, but a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to quality are essential for success. Individuals who consistently meet expectations will be rewarded with more job assignments, access to higher-volume stores, and increased earning potential.

Working as an Assembly Technician provides the unique advantage of operating in familiar retail environments, offering daily variety and the chance to tackle new assembly challenges with each shift.
