Assembly Technician - Summary
- Responsible for assembling large retail products in-store, including grills, lawn mowers, patio furniture, outdoor power equipment, wheelbarrows, outdoor storage sheds, and bicycles.
- Work independently to complete assembly tasks efficiently, accurately, and on time.
- Utilize personal tools and equipment to assemble products according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Engage with store personnel professionally and represent the company with integrity and reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble various large-item retail products inside designated retail stores.
- Follow assembly instructions and safety protocols for all products.
- Document completed work using a smartphone application for photos, scanning, and invoicing.
- Adhere to scheduled assignments and maintain punctuality for all check-ins.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring products are safe, stable, and ready for customer use.
- Communicate effectively with store teams and report any issues or concerns promptly.
- Manage and organize personal tools and equipment to ensure readiness for each assignment.
- Participate in ongoing training and performance evaluations to enhance assembly skills.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds repeatedly and handling large-item assembly tasks.
- Reliable personal transportation to reach designated store locations.
- Smartphone with a working camera for documentation, scanning, and invoicing purposes.
- Ownership of essential assembly tools, including:
- 18V cordless impact driver or drill (strongly preferred)
- Deep metric sockets
- Allen/hex bit set
- Cutting pliers
- Multiple screwdrivers
- Adjustable wrench
- Box cutter/utility knife
- Rubber mallet
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic; no formal experience required but must demonstrate readiness to learn and perform.
