Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) - Summary
- Provide anesthesia services in an efficient outpatient surgical environment

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer general anesthesia and basic regional techniques for outpatient procedures, primarily adult cases
- Manage anesthesia care for a range of surgeries, including orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and general surgery
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff to maintain efficient case flow
- Review patient medical histories and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to any complications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation within the Epic EMR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Work in a setting with approximately four operating rooms and eight cases per day
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for outpatient anesthesia care

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (within 5 years)
- Active California medical license required at the time of application
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Preferred: Minimum two years of recent clinical anesthesiology experience
- Clean professional file and consistent work history for credentialing (approximate process: 90 days)
