Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) - Summary
- Temporary, contract-based locum tenens assignment with options for ongoing engagement
- Focus on general anesthesia for surgical, GI, OB/GYN, podiatric, and occasional orthopedic and trauma cases

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, gastroenterology, obstetrics/gynecology, podiatry, and select orthopedic and trauma cases
- Provide solo coverage for assigned cases, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative period
- Perform preoperative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements
- Monitor patients intraoperatively, adjusting anesthetic techniques as needed for changing conditions
- Collaborate with surgical teams, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekend coverage as required by the assignment
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
- Current and unrestricted medical license in California required at time of application
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent)
- Demonstrated competency in administering anesthesia for a broad spectrum of procedures, including general surgery, GI, OB/GYN, podiatry, and minor orthopedic/trauma cases
- Ability to work independently and manage solo cases confidently
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical practice
