Anesthesiologist (MD/DO)
Palm Health Resources is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Southern California. This assignment is ideal for professionals who wish to deliver exceptional patient care in a hospital-based environment, working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare experts. The role offers a flexible start date and an initial three-month assignment with the option to extend, making it a great fit for individuals interested in a dynamic and rewarding temporary position.
As a valued Anesthesiologist (MD/DO), you will be responsible for managing anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, colorectal, endocrine, surgical oncology, vascular, endovascular, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. The assignment operates in a hospital setting, providing you with access to advanced technologies and a supportive clinical infrastructure. A typical workweek consists of four shifts, each lasting between nine to ten hours, with no call required. This schedule helps promote a balanced professional experience while allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality anesthesia care.
Your daily cases may also include healthy, low-acuity pediatric patients for minor procedures such as ear tubes. Pediatric care is optional, so you can tailor your involvement according to your comfort level and expertise. The hospital utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring efficient documentation and streamlined communication among multidisciplinary teams. You will collaborate with a skilled team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), who provide support as needed, allowing you to focus on more complex cases without routine supervision requirements.
Credentialing for this Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) assignment takes approximately twelve weeks, during which our dedicated recruiter and onboarding team will assist you every step of the way. You must hold a current California medical license, an active California DEA registration, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology is required to ensure the highest level of clinical expertise and patient safety.
Palm Health Resources offers a comprehensive locum tenens experience, including highly competitive all-inclusive rates that reflect your commitment and expertise. Malpractice insurance with tail coverage is provided for your peace of mind, and you will receive continuous recruiter support from credentialing through the completion of your assignment. Our streamlined onboarding and travel coordination services make it easy for you to focus on patient care rather than administrative details.
