The hospital setting includes over 300 beds, with a case volume averaging 1,000 procedures per month. The patient population includes both adults and some pediatric cases, providing a diverse and stimulating clinical experience. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including five anesthesiologists on-site daily, to provide anesthesia services for OB, orthopedic, cardiac, neuro, trauma, and emergency cases. This collaborative environment fosters professional growth and allows for the sharing of expertise among peers.
Credentialing is streamlined, with a typical timeframe of approximately 60 days, ensuring a smooth transition for new team members. Anesthesiologists interested in this locum tenens contract do not require a current state license, as assistance with licensing is available. The position requires Board Certification, as well as current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred to ensure clinical competency in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Experience with Level II trauma cases is highly valued, and familiarity with Cerner EMR will be beneficial for daily practice.
