If you are seeking an exciting and rewarding career opportunity as an Anesthesiologist (MD/DO), this position presents a unique chance to join a top-tier healthcare facility in a vibrant Southern California vacation destination. Our hospital is experiencing significant growth, with the construction of six new operating rooms and the launch of a new Obstetrics Labor & Delivery service. As a result, we are looking for dedicated and skilled Anesthesiologists to join our expanding team in a full-time capacity. This Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) position focuses on providing high-quality anesthesia care for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, all conveniently located on a single campus. The role offers a collaborative environment with a well-structured night float system, ensuring excellent work-life balance and minimal overnight call requirements.
As an Anesthesiologist (MD/DO), you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and benefit from regular technology updates, which contributes to optimal patient outcomes and professional satisfaction. The hospital is recognized as one of the busiest joint centers in California, providing a high volume of orthopedic cases that will allow you to further develop your expertise, particularly in spinal anesthesia. While recent experience in obstetric anesthesia is considered a valuable asset, the Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) role does not require participation in OB services unless you desire to do so. Our facility also features a specialized acute pain service team responsible for preoperative nerve blocks, so regional anesthesia skills, while advantageous, are not mandatory.
Employment is offered directly by the hospital as a W-2 position, ensuring stability and comprehensive benefits consistent with industry standards. The compensation plan for the Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) includes a generous common unit value for all anesthesia cases, additional pay for after-hours work, and supplemental compensation for downtime between surgical procedures. To provide financial security, there is a minimum daily income guarantee for days of low operating room volume or when earnings fall below the daily threshold.
Our organization is committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and collegial environment, where all Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) team members are encouraged to bring their unique skills and perspectives. The hospital’s mission centers on delivering the highest level of patient care while supporting the ongoing professional growth and well-being of its medical staff. Career advancement opportunities are available for those who excel in this Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) role, including leadership and specialized clinical pathways.
Southern California is renowned for its pleasant climate, recreational amenities, and vibrant community life, making it an attractive location for healthcare professionals seeking both career advancement and quality of life.
