Aircraft Interior Technician - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Repair aircraft seating, including both passenger and crew seats.
- Repair and maintain interior monuments such as galleys, lavatories, and class dividers.
- Disassemble and reassemble components, diagnosing malfunctions and performing necessary repairs.
- Interpret inspection reports, rework instructions, and blueprints to determine repair needs and plan work sequences.
- Perform sheet metal fabrication and composite/laminate repairs based on technical drawings.
- Use bonding materials, fillers, and compounds for repairs and finishing tasks.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and surface preparation, including painting as required.
- Ensure all completed work aligns with company, customer, and FAA standards for safety and quality.
- Utilize hand, power, and finishing tools safely and effectively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements
- No formal education required; training provided on the job.
- Experience using hand, power, and finishing tools is essential.
- A&P License is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in aerospace, FAA environments, or aircraft interiors is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, CMMs, and technical documentation.
- Physical ability to walk or stand for at least 80% of each workday and engage in light work, including lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to travel for extended periods, up to six weeks at a time, as required by project demands.
