AI Platform Engineer - Summary- Design and develop robust AI platforms and applications
- Contribute directly to enterprise AI initiatives by building and optimizing LLM gateways and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise
- Implement secure, scalable, and production-ready AI systems
- Design, develop, and maintain AI platforms, backend services, and AI-powered applications
- Enhance and optimize LLM gateways, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, and other AI-driven systems
- Develop APIs, automation tools, and data integration services to support scalable AI platforms
- Integrate AI applications with enterprise systems and data sources
- Implement secure, reliable, and observable AI systems through logging, monitoring, and governance practices
- Utilize modern DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, for building and deploying applications
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams for requirement translation and solution delivery
- Participate in Agile and Scrum development processes
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical disciplines
- Strong experience in AI infrastructure engineering or AI application development
- Hands-on experience developing backend applications, APIs, or AI-powered applications
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or TypeScript
- Experience with cloud platforms and AI development frameworks
- Sound understanding of API development, system integration, and scalable application design
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to independently own features from design through deployment
- Proven experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, embedding models, or LLM-based applications
- Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or comparable technologies
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of enterprise security, governance, and compliance practices
- Experience using monitoring and observability platforms
- Demonstrated ability to build production AI assistants, chatbots, or intelligent automation solutions
- Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or reviewing technical work
