While an active Georgia license is preferred, it is not required for consideration. Addiction Psychiatrist (MD, DO) - Summary- Full-time, temp-to-permanent Addiction Psychiatrist (MD, DO) position
- Based in a leading behavioral health facility in Atlanta, GA
- Work with patients from adolescents to geriatrics
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments for patients with substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Perform medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychiatric and addiction medications
- Implement detoxification protocols and medical-assisted therapy for patients
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication usage, and recovery strategies
- Supervise clinical staff and participate in team meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and legal standards
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards
