Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary- Contract position for an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in a critical care setting.
- Position based in Baltimore, Maryland, with flexible scheduling available for both day and night shifts.
- Six-month assignment with comprehensive support including travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage.
- Opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a cardiac critical care unit.
- Deliver advanced clinical care to patients in the cardiac critical care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, monitor patient progress, and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment, recovery, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to institutional protocols and best practice standards.
- Document all patient encounters, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.

- Current licensure as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Advanced practice provider experience in acute, critical, or cardiac care strongly preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment.
- Demonstrated clinical competence, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule of 3-5 blocked shifts, including both days and nights as needed.
- Commitment to upholding professional and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a background in cardiac or intensive care unit settings.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a contract/locum tenens capacity.
