Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) – ICU Summary- Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill patients in a mixed Medical ICU setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and specialists
- Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
- Work a rotating schedule covering days, nights, and weekends
- Engage with a diverse and complex patient population, including cardiac, transplant, surgical, and neurological cases
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop differential diagnoses, and formulate treatment plans for ICU patients
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and imaging studies
- Initiate and manage advanced life support interventions as needed
- Monitor and adjust critical care therapies, including ventilators, vasoactive medications, and invasive monitoring devices
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Document clinical findings, care plans, and patient progress in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to best practices in critical care

- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
