As an ACNP specializing in abdominal transplant medicine, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare providers, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for your patients. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient components, providing you with a diverse and challenging caseload. Working alongside over nine experienced Abdominal Transplant ACNPs, you will benefit from a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters continuous professional development and autonomy.
The full-time schedule is designed to promote work-life balance, with three 12-hour shifts per week from 11am to 11pm, totaling 36 hours. This allows for a high quality of life while maintaining a strong commitment to patient care. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) – Abdominal Transplant Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Independently and collaboratively provide comprehensive clinical care for abdominal transplant patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform thorough history and physical assessments, documenting findings and noting pertinent normal and abnormal results
- Order and interpret diagnostic labs and tests relevant to transplant medicine
- Formulate medical diagnoses and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and recommend appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
- Initiate specialty consultations and referrals as needed
- Evaluate and implement clinical pathways and protocols to optimize patient outcomes
- Facilitate patient flow through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Recognize acute and emergent situations, initiate life-saving interventions, and promptly involve other team members
- Incorporate age-specific and culturally responsive care, clearly communicating plans to patients and families
- Advocate for patients and families regarding educational needs, treatment options, and ethical considerations
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Educate patients, families, staff, and students on procedures, preparation, and expected outcomes
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $95,000 – $150,000

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
- Current national certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
- Eligibility for state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Previous experience in critical care, inpatient, or transplant settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of patient care
