The Acupuncturist (LAc) position at Decypher offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will deliver comprehensive acupuncture care in accordance with state licensure and the standards established by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). Working closely with other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to consultative services and participate in holistic patient care, particularly for those managing pain and related conditions.

Acupuncturist (LAc) - Summary
- Deliver acupuncture services as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Comply with all guidelines and standards set by ACAOM and organization policies.
- Support the overall mission to enhance patient health, readiness, and quality of life.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring documentation complies with all clinical and legal requirements.
- Obtain written concurrence for diagnostic and therapeutic plans from supervising privileged providers, including securing necessary co-signatures on medical notes.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide recommendations on drug therapies and polypharmacy management, while educating patients on medication changes.
- Participate in designated Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) tele-mentoring training programs and other telehealth initiatives.
- Engage in tele-consults and maintain productivity levels comparable to peers in similar roles.
- Contribute to peer review, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities to ensure high standards of care.
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines, maintaining safety in all clinical practices.
- Respond effectively in emergency patient situations, following protocols, communicating with appropriate personnel, and documenting all relevant events.
- Assess and address potential legal issues in patient care, striving to minimize risks and uphold ethical standards.
- Participate in the Family Advocacy Program as directed, including medical examination, documentation, and reporting where necessary.
- Respect and protect patient rights in all interactions, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Accept responsibility and accountability for professional practice, adhering to licensing and professional standards.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, attending all required annual training, including topics such as disaster training, infection control, sexual harassment prevention, bloodborne pathogens, fire and safety, and CBRNE protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate from an ACAOM-accredited Oriental Medicine or higher degree program.
- Current active certification as a Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least two years of full-time experience as an acupuncturist within the preceding five years.
- Active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice acupuncture in a U.S. state, territory, or jurisdiction.
- U.S. citizenship required.
