Active Directory Migration Engineer - Summary- Lead the migration of on-premises Active Directory environments to Entra for an enterprise technology client.
- Work closely with IT teams to coordinate, execute, and support all phases of the migration project.
- Provide both onsite and remote technical support to ensure a seamless user transition and minimize operational downtime.
- Utilize best practices in Active Directory migration, including pre-migration assessments, pilot testing, and post-migration validation.
- Deliver technical expertise and troubleshooting for directory services and identity management systems throughout the project.
- Plan and execute the migration of Active Directory from on-premises infrastructure to Entra, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
- Conduct all necessary migration activities in collaboration with internal IT and project management teams.
- Provide remote technical support for a designated period following the onsite migration to address any post-migration issues.
- Review and document existing Active Directory environments, identify migration risks, and implement strategies for mitigation.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to project stakeholders and leadership throughout the migration process.
- Apply up-to-date knowledge of Active Directory, Entra, and associated migration tools to deliver efficient solutions.
- Support users and IT staff with troubleshooting and resolving migration-related issues, including authentication and access concerns.

- Demonstrated experience with Active Directory (on-premises) to Entra migrations in enterprise environments.
- Expertise in Active Directory infrastructure, identity management, and migration tools.
- Ability to work both onsite and remotely according to project needs, and commit to the full duration of the migration project.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills related to directory services and identity platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across IT and business teams.
- Eligible to work on a W2 contract basis for the duration of the assignment.
- Proven track record in successful enterprise-scale Active Directory to Entra migrations.
