Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Account Manager – Financial Services to join our team in Waterford, WI. This is a full-time, in-office position designed for professionals passionate about financial planning and client relationship management. The Account Manager – Financial Services will collaborate closely with Advisors and Paraplanners, playing a crucial role in supporting client service delivery and the execution of personalized financial strategies. This position requires an individual with a robust understanding of financial services, a talent for communication, and a genuine interest in assisting clients in reaching their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement and Support: Proactively contact prospects and clients to schedule appointments for Advisors, exhibiting professionalism and strong interpersonal skills throughout all interactions.
- Assist Advisors by preparing life and disability insurance quotes, assembling proposals, and facilitating applications for a variety of financial products.
- Deliver in-house customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, guiding them through applications and policyholder requests, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Administrative Support and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pending applications, and policy documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate paramedical and medical examinations for applicants by working with insurance carriers and healthcare providers as necessary.
- Process policyholder requests such as loans, beneficiary changes, and ownership updates according to established procedures and within specified timelines.
- Financial Analysis and Modeling: Collect and organize financial documents from prospects and clients for use in financial modeling and prepare drafts for Advisor review.
- Assist in the development and finalization of comprehensive financial models, including investment allocations, retirement planning scenarios, and risk assessments.
- Prepare strategy sheets and investment hypotheticals to support recommendations and client decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- Financial Analysis: Advanced analytical skills to assess client financial situations, analyze investment opportunities, and develop tailored strategies. Ability to interpret financial data, evaluate risk, and provide informed recommendations.
- Client Relationship Management: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building and sustaining positive client relationships. Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and respond to client needs with attentive service.
- Organizational and Time Management: Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple client accounts, prioritize conflicting deadlines, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge and Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial products and services, including investments, insurance, retirement planning, and estate planning options. Understanding of tax implications and regulatory requirements is essential.
- Awareness of market and industry trends, staying current on economic developments and regulatory changes impacting financial services. Ability to monitor market performance and inform client strategies accordingly.
- Familiarity with financial planning principles, including asset allocation, diversification, and retirement income planning, to develop customized plans for clients with varying goals and risk tolerances.
- Experience in the financial services sector, such as roles in financial advising, investment analysis, or wealth management, is highly valued. Previous client-facing experience in customer service, sales, or relationship management is beneficial.
- Background in portfolio management, investment analysis, or financial planning is advantageous for assessing investment objectives and developing strategies tailored to client needs.
This position may require occasional overnight travel. The frequency and duration of travel will vary based on project needs and will be communicated in advance.
