Working out of the San Diego headquarters, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with general contractors and end users throughout the area. The role is hybrid in nature, combining elements of business development, sales, and project management. You will play a critical part in the success of each project by overseeing all stages, from the initial site visit and estimation phase to project completion and client satisfaction.

Account Manager – Construction Flooring Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities among general contractors and end users in the commercial sector.
- Maintain an active presence at industry events, networking opportunities, and professional associations to build and sustain relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive job site visits to assess project scope, take precise measurements, and identify logistical challenges for each flooring project.
- Create accurate take-offs and detailed estimates for labor, materials, and preparation required for commercial flooring projects.
- Oversee assigned projects from contract award to completion, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with in-house installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and effective project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits to proactively resolve field issues, verify progress, and ensure client satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Track and manage job costing, billing, and change orders throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Identify potential risks and inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive experience (5+ years preferred) in commercial construction sales, estimating, or project management, with a strong preference for candidates with commercial flooring experience.
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in reading construction plans and specifications, and utilizing digital take-off and estimating tools.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, able to work effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
