Account Manager - Summary
- Drive business growth by building and maintaining strong client relationships within the building technology sector.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expertise in intelligent-building solutions and energy-efficient systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to generate leads, develop targeted sales strategies, and deliver exceptional client service.
- Lead smaller-scale installation projects and coordinate ongoing service agreements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish initial contact with prospective and existing clients, schedule sales calls, and follow up on leads based on account type.
- Develop and implement customized sales strategies to address client needs and business objectives.
- Ensure all service agreements are executed in compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records and support account collections as needed.
- Provide in-depth product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to identify and develop new leads.
- Estimate project costs, prepare proposals, and present strategic system enhancement plans to clients.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Coordinate and manage service agreements and act as project manager for smaller-scale installations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent related work experience required.
- At least 10 years of proven experience in account management, preferably in building technology systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence are essential for success in this role.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Previous experience working with building technology systems is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Technical sales experience and familiarity with plan and spec fundamentals are advantageous.
