Ab Initio Developer - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio for data integration and transformation.
- Create data profiles, write scripts, and develop processes to support data quality programs.
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify and resolve quality issues across relational and non-relational data sources.
- Write code for moderately complex system designs, including cross-platform program development and enhancements to existing systems.
- Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to programming standards and best practices.
- Document technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points for seamless data flow.
- Participate in unit testing, debugging, and transitioning applications through the development lifecycle.
- Research and evaluate vendor products, conduct gap analyses, and recommend suitable technology solutions.
- Ensure adherence to IT controls, protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in IT, with hands-on technical design and coding responsibilities.
- Direct experience with Ab Initio, SQL, and Unix scripting is required.
- Expertise in complex SQL development, including stored procedures.
- Experience with major relational database management systems; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems, preferably RHEL.
- Strong understanding of data quality processes, data governance, and IT controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Cloud experience and knowledge of messaging engines are desirable.
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the US. No C2C or third-party candidates will be considered.
