Workstation Technician Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Workstation Technician to join our team on a contract basis. As a Workstation Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting a Microsoft-based network environment, ensuring the smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and tablets, and delivering superior technical support to end-users. This position is with a reputable healthcare organization and offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and growth-oriented team. The role is based in Woodland Hills, CA and is structured as a full-time contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for a Microsoft-based network, including Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, MS Teams, and the resolution of basic desktop and networking issues.
- Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to PC hardware and software, encompassing desktops, laptops, and tablets, as well as addressing network communication problems and peripheral device malfunctions.
- Assist in the deployment process, which includes tasks such as asset receipt, equipment staging, deployment execution, and updating asset management systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct data transfer and recovery activities, administer email accounts, and prepare technology assets for disposition in accordance with technical manuals and instructions, ensuring attention to detail and compliance with established procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware in a client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems, hardware configuration, and software installation is essential.
- Experience working directly with clinical staff and handling asset inventory responsibilities is highly valued.
- Proven ability to manage multiple PC refreshes, including experience with over 5 daily and 25 weekly PC refreshes.
