Workstation Technician – Contract Job OverviewIDR is seeking a skilled Workstation Technician to join our team and provide essential IT support for one of our top healthcare clients in Red Wood City, CA. This is a contract opportunity designed for professionals looking to contribute their technical expertise in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. As a Workstation Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing workstation systems to ensure seamless operations for clinical and administrative staff. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in desktop support, a strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems, and the ability to provide efficient, client-focused service.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive support for a Microsoft-based network, including Windows 10 and Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, and the resolution of desktop and networking issues.
- Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve PC hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, and tablets, as well as address network communication and peripheral device concerns.
- Assist in the deployment of new equipment, including asset receipt, staging, deployment execution, and updates to asset management systems to maintain accurate records.
- Perform data transfer and recovery, administer email accounts, and prepare IT assets for disposition according to technical manuals and organizational procedures.
- Uphold a high standard of attention to detail and compliance with technical documentation and IT best practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in customer service supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems and configuration, hardware configuration, and software installation procedures.
- At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing IT support role, preferably working with clinical staff and asset inventory management.
- Proven ability to conduct multiple PC refreshes daily (more than 5 per day or 25 per week).
