Web Accessibility Tester Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our remote QA team as a Web Accessibility Tester. Based in New York City, NY, this full-time role presents an opportunity to make a significant impact on the accessibility and usability of digital platforms. As a Web Accessibility Tester, you will focus on evaluating user experience, testing the functionality of both web and mobile platforms, and providing actionable feedback to help enhance the overall quality of our products.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive accessibility and usability testing scenarios across a variety of digital platforms, including both mobile applications and web-based systems.
- Clearly document any issues, such as bugs, glitches, and user experience obstacles, ensuring detailed and structured reporting for the development team.
- Collaborate directly with software developers and product managers to communicate findings, clarify issues, and offer feedback that contributes to continuous improvement.
- Verify that all software features function as intended across different devices, operating systems, browsers, and screen sizes, with a specific focus on accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit thorough daily or weekly reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and any accessibility barriers encountered during testing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to follow structured instructions and testing protocols.
- Comfort with using a range of remote working tools, as well as familiarity with multiple app ecosystems and digital platforms.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, user testing, or a related field is preferred, especially with a focus on accessibility compliance.
- Reliable internet connection and access to appropriate testing devices, such as a desktop computer, laptop, or mobile device.
