Job Overview
As an Accessibility Tester, you will be instrumental in evaluating and ensuring the usability and accessibility of digital platforms, with a particular focus on web content. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive usability and accessibility testing on web applications and websites, ensuring content meets established accessibility guidelines such as WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and user experience issues with clarity and precision to facilitate effective resolution by development teams.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and designers, to communicate findings and support the implementation of accessibility improvements.
- Verify that web content is accessible and fully functional across a variety of devices, browsers, and screen sizes, ensuring a consistent user experience for all.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on testing outcomes, highlighting critical issues, trends, and recommendations for optimization on a daily or weekly basis as needed.
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow structured testing procedures.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and a strong understanding of web accessibility guidelines, such as WCAG or Section 508, is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, user testing, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proficiency in documenting and communicating technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and compatible devices, such as a desktop, laptop, or mobile device, to facilitate remote work and testing activities.
