Warehouse Loader - Summary
- Physically load and unload products from loading docks and delivery vehicles.
- Sort, organize, and prepare goods for storage or further distribution.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and, if certified, forklifts to move materials safely.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured to prevent damage or loss during handling.
- Verify shipments against delivery documents and note any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during all activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload boxes, materials, and pallets of goods to and from trucks and storage areas.
- Sort items by type, destination, or other criteria for efficient storage or distribution.
- Palletize shipments for outbound delivery and break down incoming pallets for processing.
- Securely stack, wrap, or otherwise stabilize loads for safe movement.
- Use equipment such as manual and motorized pallet jacks and, if qualified, forklifts.
- Count and inspect shipments to ensure accuracy and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation as required.
