Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer (VDI Engineer) Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer (VDI Engineer) to join our client’s dynamic technology team on a full-time basis. The VDI Engineer will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and innovative team, supporting a large organization with a focus on high availability and performance for business-critical applications. As a VDI Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of VDI solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments to support organizational needs.
- Configure and provide ongoing support for VDI platforms, including application publishing and management of virtual infrastructure components.
- Work closely with application owners and technical support teams to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all business-critical applications within the VDI environment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including processes, procedures, and best practices for all VDI-related operations and configurations.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to VDI systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in virtualization technologies to provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and solutions.
- Strong expertise in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting VDI platforms and virtual infrastructure management tools.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for VDI processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
