The Vice President of Operations – Insurance (P&C) will play a pivotal part in shaping the company’s operational success, leveraging industry expertise to drive efficiency, compliance, and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee the operations team by setting strategic goals that align with organizational objectives. Maintain and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure standards of efficiency and service quality are consistently met.
- Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve operational processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Use data-driven strategies and best practices to streamline claims administration and related workflows.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals within the operations department. Cultivate an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure appropriate staffing and effective resource allocation.
- Claims Management: Supervise the full lifecycle of claims administration, ensuring timely, accurate processing and resolution. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to address complex claims and resolve escalations.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant industry regulations, corporate policies, and legal standards. Implement and monitor risk management strategies to protect company assets and minimize operational risks.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the operations budget. Track financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
- Technology Integration: Utilize technology to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and refine claims management systems and related digital tools.
- Strategic Initiatives: Lead and contribute to initiatives designed to drive business growth and operational excellence. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on industry trends and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of operations management experience within the insurance industry, specifically in property and casualty or third-party claims administration.
- Minimum of 3 recent years working directly in P&C insurance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Skills:

- Comprehensive knowledge of P&C insurance claims processes and industry regulations.
