Usability Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Usability Tester to join our remote quality assurance (QA) team. As a Usability Tester, you will play a vital role in evaluating user experiences and examining both app and website functionality. Your feedback will directly influence the improvement and optimization of digital platforms, helping to enhance the overall satisfaction of users nationwide. This is a remote, project-based, full-time opportunity based in Indianapolis, IN, allowing you to contribute to meaningful projects while working flexibly from your chosen location.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive usability testing scenarios for mobile and web platforms, ensuring thorough evaluation of user interactions and overall experience.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and user experience pain points with clear and concise descriptions to facilitate resolution.
- Collaborate closely with development and design teams to communicate findings, offer constructive feedback, and support ongoing improvement of digital products.
- Verify that software features function properly across a variety of devices, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily or weekly reports summarizing usability findings and actionable recommendations for platform enhancements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to follow structured testing protocols with accuracy.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and a strong understanding of app and web ecosystems.
- Previous experience in quality assurance (QA), user testing, or a related field is preferred and will be considered beneficial.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a desktop, laptop, or mobile device capable of running test scenarios.
