Henrietta Johnson Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Triage Nurse (RN) to join our Provider Care Team on a full-time basis. The Triage Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and escort patients to examination areas, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all patients.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations by conducting basic health screenings and gathering relevant medical history.
- Conduct thorough chart reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information for provider use.
- Assist with front desk duties, including verifying insurance, checking patients in and out, and scheduling appointments to maintain efficient clinic flow.
- Oversee the maintenance of exam room supplies and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with sterilization protocols.
- Administer injections and provide medication information to patients under the supervision of healthcare providers, observing all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical procedures in medical records while strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Answer and appropriately direct incoming phone calls to support patient inquiries and facilitate communication within the medical team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Delaware.
- Proficiency with computers and medical service software for accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to work a scheduled 40-hour workweek as required for this full-time position.
- Current CPR certification.

- This position is classified as hourly under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
