The Transportation Dispatcher position involves matching available pickup trucks and owner-operators with urgent freight, monitoring shipments from pickup to delivery, and maintaining open communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. You will also be responsible for utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to ensure records are accurate and up to date, and for upholding compliance with Hours of Service regulations. Transportation Dispatcher - Summary- Coordinate and dispatch pickup truck owner-operators for time-sensitive hot shot and expedited freight shipments.
- Facilitate freight movements within Texas and across the continental United States.

- Dispatch owner-operator pickup trucks for hot shot and expedited freight assignments.

- Oversee shipments from initiation through delivery, providing proactive updates and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure regulatory and company policy compliance, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Maintain accurate shipment records using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, sales, and operations teams to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
- Assist with after-hours or weekend coverage as part of a 24/7 operation.
