The Training Manager plays a pivotal role in leading, developing, and implementing training strategies across multiple restaurant locations in the DC market and beyond. This full-time position is designed for a training professional who excels in a dynamic, hospitality-focused environment and is passionate about developing high-performing teams. As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence through comprehensive training and performance development, shaping the culture and capabilities of both corporate and licensed restaurant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Strategy: Design, implement, and lead all training initiatives to ensure consistent execution, guest experience, and team development across multiple sites.
- Leadership Development: Serve as a mentor and coach to General Managers and high-potential team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and professional growth.
- New Store Openings: Oversee all aspects of training and onboarding for new restaurant openings and special events, ensuring teams are fully prepared for launch.
- Operational Readiness: Conduct regular site visits, training audits, and provide follow-up coaching to maintain high standards in service quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration with Licensees: Support licensed partners by providing training resources, brand guidance, and ensuring alignment with company standards and values.
- Performance Improvement: Use key performance indicators, guest feedback, and team insights to identify training needs and drive operational effectiveness through targeted learning programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a multi-unit training, operations, or field leadership position, preferably within the hospitality or fast-casual restaurant industry.
- Demonstrated passion for developing people and building strong, high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and train diverse audiences.
- Strong business acumen with a proven ability to connect training initiatives to operational and financial objectives.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel within the region to support ongoing training and growth initiatives.
