Teleradiologist (MD, Radiology) About the Role
As a Teleradiologist (MD, Radiology), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services remotely. This position is ideal for board-certified radiologists seeking to leverage advanced technology while providing customized teleradiology solutions to a diverse range of clients and patients. The role emphasizes patient care, clear communication, and a commitment to technological excellence, ensuring timely and reliable diagnostic services around the clock. This opportunity is available for full-time or part-time employment, allowing flexibility while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and provide comprehensive final reads for a variety of imaging modalities, including CR/DR, CT, CAT, CTA, DEXA/BMD, mammography, mammo-tomosynthesis (3D), MRI, PET, PET/CT, diagnostic mammography, breast MRI, virtual contrast coverage, and virtual diagnostic mammography.
- Complete an average of 90-100 cases per day with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.
- Deliver routine reports within 24 hours and stat reports within 1 hour, upholding high standards for turnaround times.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and administrative teams to ensure all studies are prepared in advance and prior exams are readily available for review.
- Work closely with the IT department to maintain workstation functionality and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring seamless workflow and uninterrupted service.
- Engage in ongoing communication with referring physicians, clients, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Follow licensure requirements and work within assigned specialties, with studies assigned according to state licensure and credentialing parameters.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with board certification in Radiology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing radiologist.
- Active medical licenses in multiple states preferred; must be eligible for licensure in states as required by client coverage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting a broad range of imaging modalities, including but not limited to CT, MRI, mammography, PET, and ultrasound.
- Strong commitment to timely, accurate, and thorough report creation.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with clients, referral sources, and internal team members.
- Comfort with digital and remote technology platforms for efficient teleradiology practice.
