Tax Attorney - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent clients in communications and negotiations with the IRS and state tax authorities
- Provide legal counsel and develop comprehensive strategies for resolving tax disputes, including audits, collections, and appeals
- Prepare and file legal documents such as offers in compromise, installment agreements, and penalty abatement requests
- Advise clients on tax liabilities, compliance requirements, and tax planning opportunities
- Conduct legal research and monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure effective client representation
- Collaborate with accountants, enrolled agents, and case managers to deliver integrated tax relief solutions
- Maintain strict client confidentiality and uphold all professional and ethical standards required in legal practice

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state
