IDR is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer – Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MCEM, SCCM) to support one of our top clients in Memphis, TN. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in designing, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale Microsoft Configuration Endpoint Manager infrastructures. As part of a team-oriented environment, the Systems Engineer – MCEM will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, security, and operational efficiency of the client’s endpoint management systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and provide ongoing support for the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MCEM) infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for all managed endpoints.
- Collaborate with Microsoft and third-party vendors to maintain the infrastructure’s health, apply updates, and resolve technical challenges promptly.
- Lead and support key upgrade initiatives, including Windows 11 24H2 and Microsoft Office upgrades, to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Assist in vulnerability remediation by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing necessary security measures to protect endpoints.
- Utilize advanced PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, streamline processes, and enhance system management capabilities.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for SCCM client installation, Intune deployments, and Office application installations, upgrades, and problem resolution.
- Leverage tools such as 1E Nomad, Delivery Optimization, and Microsoft Connected Cache to improve content delivery and endpoint performance.
- Participate in a hybrid work model, with regular in-office collaboration 2-3 times per week to ensure effective communication and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in systems engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MCEM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Extensive knowledge of task sequencing, SCCM client installation and troubleshooting, and Microsoft Intune management.
- Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
- Familiarity with Office application deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrade processes within enterprise environments.
- Experience with 1E Nomad, Delivery Optimization, and Microsoft Connected Cache is considered a strong plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, adapting to a hybrid work schedule as required by project needs.
