Systems Administrator
IDR is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join a top client in Englewood, CO, in a full-time capacity. This position focuses on managing and maintaining advanced IT systems, including AI environments, ensuring the seamless operation and security of the organization's infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will play a critical role in supporting IT operations, collaborating with other technology professionals, and contributing to the stability and growth of enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain AI systems, overseeing both hardware and software components to ensure reliable performance.
- Monitor IT infrastructure to detect, analyze, and resolve performance issues quickly, maintaining optimal system operation.
- Perform regular system upgrades, software patches, and routine maintenance to enhance security, functionality, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to on-premise and cloud infrastructure, supporting business continuity and minimizing downtime.
- Implement and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and availability in compliance with industry standards.
- Administer and support key network services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP, contributing to a secure and efficient network environment.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to develop, document, and enforce IT policies and procedures, supporting organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior IT staff, facilitating knowledge sharing and effective issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and network diagrams to support operational transparency and knowledge management.
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171 security requirements, supporting regulatory and client obligations.
- Participate in on-call rotation and deliver after-hours support as required, ensuring continuous IT service availability.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience implementing and supporting hypervisor or hyperconverged environments, including platforms such as VMware and Nutanix.
- 1-3 years of experience managing AWS or Azure cloud operations, with a focus on deployment and support.
- 3-5 years of experience utilizing IT operations monitoring tools, such as Azure Monitor, VROperations, or SolarWinds, to maintain infrastructure health.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues across server-to-server infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, and VLAN network configurations, as well as device patch management.
- Familiarity with administration and troubleshooting of various operating systems, including Microsoft, Red Hat, Azure, and AWS platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and support users across organization levels.
