Systems Administrator Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Systems Administrator to join our client's team on a full-time basis. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of core IT systems, including high-performance computing environments and enterprise-level network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities- Manage, monitor, and maintain core IT systems to ensure consistent and reliable operation across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within high-performance computing environments, minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal system performance.
- Oversee the smooth operation of enterprise servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure, ensuring security and efficiency.
- Implement regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes as needed to maintain compliance and improve system functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support infrastructure projects and technology upgrades.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and team members, fostering a responsive and service-oriented environment.
- Participate in remote work arrangements, with the flexibility to travel 1-2 times per year as required for team meetings or special projects.
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a production environment, demonstrating advanced technical proficiency.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based computing platforms, with the ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as NetApp, VMware, and Commvault, ensuring robust data management and backup solutions.
- Proven ability to monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT systems, with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to system incidents or outages.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical team members.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally (1-2 times per year) as needed for organizational events or on-site support.
