Supply Chain Planner Position OverviewIDR is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for a full-time opportunity with an esteemed client in Norcross, GA. The Supply Chain Planner will play a critical role in supporting inventory planning and purchase order management activities within a dynamic, team-oriented environment. This position is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in supply chain processes and ERP systems, particularly those skilled in inventory coordination and supplier communication. Responsibilities- Create and generate purchase orders (POs), including receiving and processing orders from internal teams for timely submission.
- Update existing purchase orders, ensuring accurate tracking and handling of order modifications as needed.
- Liaise with suppliers to follow up on past-due orders and maintain clear communication channels for order status updates.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly, coordinating with suppliers to manage lead times and ensure materials are specified correctly and available when needed.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to understand inventory schedules, production demands, and to facilitate efficient inventory purchasing activities.
- Set up, monitor, and manage supplier information in the ERP system, ensuring all data is current and accurate for effective supply chain operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with supply chain management and ERP systems, such as SAP, for inventory planning and purchase order creation.
- Strong communication skills, enabling productive interactions with both internal departments and external suppliers.
- Demonstrated expertise in planning and monitoring inventories, with experience in industries such as pharmaceutical or biologics preferred.
- Ability to adapt to and transition between different ERP systems, such as LN and SAP, as required by business processes.
- Experience collaborating across functional departments, including planning, manufacturing, and logistics, to support end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
