SQL Database Administrator (DBA) Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our esteemed client’s team on a full-time basis. As an SQL Database Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining SQL Server databases, ensuring the stability and security of critical systems. Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies, safeguarding data integrity and availability at all times.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to provide database support for new and ongoing projects, helping to design and optimize data-driven solutions.
- Perform regular performance tuning and optimization activities to maximize system efficiency and responsiveness.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Database Administrator (DBA) in a production environment, focusing on SQL Server.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Windows operating system, including administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with additional database systems, including Postgres and MySQL, is advantageous.
