- Maintain the highest standards in food preparation, taste, and presentation, ensuring every dish meets the restaurant’s quality expectations.
- Oversee inventory control, including managing food ordering, receiving, and proper storage to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
- Enforce strict sanitation and food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations to keep the kitchen clean and safe.
- Collaborate with the culinary team in menu planning, recipe development, and plating design to offer innovative and visually appealing dishes.
- Monitor food costs and implement effective portion control measures to maximize profitability while minimizing waste.
- Step into a leadership role and oversee all kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring continuity and consistency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or Sous Chef role.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in culinary principles and techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
