Software QA Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software QA Tester to join our remote quality assurance team on a full-time basis. Based in Richmond, VA, this role focuses on evaluating the functionality and usability of both mobile and web applications, providing essential feedback to enhance user experience and ensure product reliability. As a Software QA Tester, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the quality of digital products impacting users nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Execute detailed usability and functionality testing scenarios across a range of mobile and web platforms, ensuring comprehensive coverage of features and user flows.
- Carefully document any bugs, glitches, and user experience issues, providing clear and structured reports that facilitate efficient troubleshooting and resolution by development teams.
- Collaborate closely with development and design teams by communicating detailed observations, feedback on user experience, and suggestions for improvement.
- Verify software features for compatibility and consistent performance across various devices, browsers, and screen sizes, contributing to a seamless user experience regardless of how the application is accessed.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily or weekly reports summarizing findings, trends, and actionable recommendations to inform ongoing product enhancements.
- Proven attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow structured testing instructions and protocols.
- Familiarity with remote working tools and processes, along with a solid understanding of app ecosystems and digital platforms.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, user testing, or a related field is preferred, demonstrating a background in identifying and documenting software issues.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a desktop computer, laptop, or mobile device suitable for performing software testing tasks.
