Software Engineer – Payment Systems (C#, .NET, API) Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer – Payment Systems (C#, .NET, API) to join our dynamic team in Irving, TX on a full-time basis. As a member of an Agile Scrum team, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of innovative payment processing systems, supporting our organization’s continued growth and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced software solutions, including the integration of Generative AI applications and the development of robust APIs for high-volume transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment of payment system solutions.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile Scrum team to deliver reliable and scalable payment processing features.
- Enhance and integrate Generative AI applications by collaborating with proof-of-concept users, driving innovation within the platform.
- Develop and maintain APIs for high-volume financial transactions, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Experience teams to develop software solutions that align with business objectives and enhance user satisfaction.
- Integrate and optimize payment gateway APIs, with a focus on popular platforms such as Stripe and Ayden as preferred solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft Azure services, including Service Bus and Azure DevOps, to streamline development processes and ensure high availability of payment services.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects and payment processing issues promptly to minimize business impact.
- Document technical specifications and workflows to support knowledge sharing and system maintainability within the team.
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development, focusing on C# and .NET/ASP.NET technologies.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining APIs for high-volume transaction processing.
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and integrating with payment processing systems, such as Stripe or Ayden (preferred but not required).
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience building and managing API payment gateways.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Service Bus and Azure DevOps, for developing and deploying scalable software solutions.
