Shopping Mall General ManagerWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Shopping Mall General Manager to oversee the operations and management of a Mall in Atlanta, GA. The General Manager will play a crucial role in the successful maintenance, leasing management, and overall functionality of the property. The ideal candidate will possess a background in property management and demonstrate the ability to lead and supervise a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance phases of the Mall, ensuring that the property meets modern standards and attracts a diverse range of tenants.
- Manage leasing operations, including tenant negotiations, lease agreements, and tenant relations.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain the property's functionality by coordinating with HVAC, landscaping, and other maintenance personnel to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Possess a basic understanding of real estate principles to effectively manage property-related matters.
- Utilize leasing facilities experience to optimize tenant occupancy and overall mall foot traffic.
- Implement strategies to keep the building and facilities in excellent working order, overseeing maintenance, repairs, and improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure high standards of property maintenance and service.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices to drive the mall's success.
- Keep track of financial aspects related to property management, including budgeting and expense control.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, retail management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Certification in Property Management, Real Estate, or relevant areas is a plus.
- Experience in overseeing maintenance projects and leasing management is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide employees towards common goals.
- Solid understanding of real estate principles and leasing processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address unexpected challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
