Shipping Associate - Summary
- Responsible for preparing, moving, and loading finished furniture for shipment in a production environment.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport products safely.
- Works closely with manufacturing teams to ensure shipping schedules and quality standards are met.
- Maintains an organized and clean warehouse space, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Full-time position based in Locust Grove, GA.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload finished furniture and materials for shipment, ensuring products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies for efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Organize, stage, and move products to designated areas to streamline shipping processes.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring all items meet established standards before dispatch.
- Utilize hand and air-powered tools as necessary to prepare furniture for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is required.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours per shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 85 lbs. independently; team lifting required for heavier items.
- Ability to push and pull loaded hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks as needed.
- Good hand-eye coordination and comfort performing repetitive upper-body movements.
- Experience using electric and pneumatic hand tools weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Physically able to bend, stoop, twist, and perform manual labor throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to wood dust and varying temperatures, as the facility is not centrally heated or cooled.
- Safety glasses are mandatory on the production floor.
