Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed structural engineering design and analysis for buildings and other seismic-resilient structures in Los Angeles, ensuring safety and compliance with current codes.
- Utilize finite element analysis software and sound engineering judgment to provide effective and efficient technical solutions to complex structural challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes, supporting every phase from conceptual design through construction documentation and implementation.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy and feasibility, ensuring integration with structural systems.
- Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and team members to communicate design intent and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in structural engineering, especially in seismic design and performance.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge in structural analysis and design, with proficiency in both steel and concrete design methodologies.
- Expertise in structural dynamics or earthquake engineering, with strong familiarity in applying these principles to real-world projects in Los Angeles and similar regions.
- Comprehensive experience using finite element analysis tools for the assessment and design of structural elements.
