Responsibilities- Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and indexed views to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop, review, and optimize complex T-SQL stored procedures and queries, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
- Create, manage, and support SSIS packages for data cleansing, transformation, and integration tasks, handling large volumes of data.
- Develop and maintain reports using SSRS and Power BI, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Leverage the latest T-SQL language features and apply advanced indexing strategies, including column store indexing, for optimal database performance.
- Support production environments, including 24x7 support for large-scale systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
- Engage in application programming using .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, MVC 5, JavaScript, JSON, JQuery, and web services.
- Reverse engineer and enhance existing code, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and lead other development staff, facilitating knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
- Participate in release procedures, unit testing, documentation, and change management processes.
- Utilize versioning tools such as Git for source control and collaboration.
- Work with specialized tools and platforms including SSAS Tabular Cube, SSIS Parallelism, SFTP, Power BI Service, SharePoint, Tableau, Azure Synapse, Transact-SQL, TOAD, and Snowflake schemas.
- Handle sensitive data, such as PHI, in compliance with data security and privacy standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SQL development, technical design, and coding within the IT industry.
- Expertise in developing, troubleshooting, and tuning high-performance SSIS packages and dynamic SQL code.
- Proficiency in SSAS (MDX or DAX), Power BI, and other BI reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of XML, web services, and modern application programming concepts.
- Demonstrated experience with complex data integration, tabular cubes, and extract processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Leadership abilities, including mentoring, conflict resolution, and effective facilitation of discussions.
- Ability to work with and improve code authored by others, ensuring sustainable and efficient solutions.
- Experience with production support for large-scale environments and monitoring critical systems.
