Senior IT Auditor Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of general IT controls and system application controls to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and internal company policies.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls across corporate offices and subsidiary locations, identifying areas of risk and improvement.
- Execute IT audits in accordance with industry best practices and professional standards, ensuring thorough and objective evaluations.
- Evaluate Service Organization Control (SOC) reports to determine the impact on internal control environments.
- Prepare and present detailed audit findings and recommendations to management, supporting the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform special audits and reviews as directed by management and the Senior Director of Internal Audit, addressing emerging risks or specific concerns.
- Monitor, track, and manage the progress of audit engagements, ensuring all project objectives and deadlines are consistently met.
- Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations and support the development of IT strategies aligned with business goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in IT auditing or a closely related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of internal audit principles, IT audit methodologies, and best practices within the field.
- Proficiency in evaluating management information systems (MIS), IT applications, databases, platforms, and network infrastructures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and conduct audit testing independently, managing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology (IT), or a related field is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, with proven ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred.
