The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position is a critical and highly visible role within the organization, responsible for overseeing multi-entity corporate accounting, optimizing financial reporting, and supporting robust internal compliance and risk mitigation frameworks. Serving as a key member of the finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in reconciling and managing complex intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and shared corporate cost allocations. The SFA will be deeply involved in advancing the efficiency and accuracy of accounting workflows by utilizing data analytics, system integration, and automation tools. By actively engaging in the identification of process improvement opportunities, the Senior Financial Analyst will help foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions.
Furthermore, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining strict adherence to organizational health, safety, and environmental protocols. This includes promoting a secure work culture and actively participating in ongoing safety education initiatives. The SFA will also play a pivotal role in assisting with the company’s risk mitigation strategies. This encompasses managing insurance policy renewals, processing claims, coordinating engineering risk assessments, and securing certificates of insurance (COIs) to ensure proper coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Senior Financial Analyst will oversee the end-to-end monthly closing process for multiple legal entities. This involves preparing journal entries, maintaining ledgers, conducting variance analysis, and performing comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations. The SFA will support cross-functional teams during regulatory financial examinations and will be involved in the oversight and auditing of third-party managed employee benefit and retirement plans. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will evaluate outstanding accounts receivable to optimize collections and facilitate communication between commercial, billing, and customer care divisions.
The scope of this role also includes executing strategic financial tasks and special projects as directed by company leadership, to support evolving business needs. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for upholding and documenting robust internal controls, corporate governance frameworks, and standardized accounting policies. As the primary point of contact for external year-end financial audits, as well as routine internal control evaluations and operational compliance reviews, the SFA will ensure that all financial operations are compliant with industry standards and best practices.
Monitoring, analyzing, and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to organizational fiscal health and balance sheet integrity will be a crucial responsibility. The SFA will be expected to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
