We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager (K-12, DSA) for a full-time, permanent opportunity. This position focuses on leading large-scale school construction projects from initiation through completion, with a primary emphasis on Division of the State Architect (DSA) compliance and K-12 educational facility requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of K-12 school construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards in Sacramento, CA.
- Oversee all project phases, including planning, coordination, execution, and closeout, with a focus on DSA requirements and public sector protocols.
- Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and interior scopes of work, ensuring seamless integration and project sequencing.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors, vendors, and all on-site personnel, maintaining effective jobsite execution and safety compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for school district representatives, educational stakeholders, and regulatory officials throughout the project duration.
- Drive and monitor project schedules, budgets, and compliance measures, proactively addressing issues to keep the project on track.
- Ensure all DSA permitting, inspection processes, and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with internal superintendents, field leaders, and other project management professionals to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager in K-12, public, or municipal construction environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in DSA permitting processes, stakeholder management, and communication with public sector clients in Sacramento, CA.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project sequencing, site logistics, and public sector communications.
- Strong familiarity with MEP coordination and experience with renovation or remodel scopes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management software platforms, such as Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Trade relationships in the Sacramento, CA area are preferred.
